A woman has been branded ‘mean’ for turning up to her twin sister’s wedding, wearing her own bridal gown.

Back in 2022, Anastasia Domanico from Pennsylvania wore the dress for her nuptials, and when her twin’s wedding rolled around she decided to give it another outing.

In a TikTok video that now has over 3.8 million views, the content creator showcased the white dress, which she’d updated with the addition of a black bow.

But viewers were less than pleased to see her in the white gown on her twin’s wedding day, with some suggesting they would stain the white clothing with ‘red wine’.

In the clip captioned : ‘A dress so nice I wore it twice ‘, Anastasia revealed the floor-length bridal gown to viewers.

She smiled at the camera and said: ‘This is my outfit of the night at my sister’s wedding.’

Anastasia explained that she’d taken a moment to film the clip while the bride, Francesca Braun, was enjoying the cocktail hour.

‘So I actually am wearing my wedding dress you guys can kind of see the bottom,’ she said, as she exhibited the black bow wrapped around her waist,’ she said.

But onlookers where not as pleased to see the twin wearing the gown on her sister’s special day, with some branding her ‘mean’ and ‘disrespectful’.

One person said Anastasia was ‘screaming pick me girl’, while another questioned: ‘Can we normalize not wearing wedding dresses to a wedding?’

Others hinted to staining the beautiful dress, quipping ‘That’s a red wine dress.’

Another person chimed in: ‘You can’t even let her have her day? So mean.’

A user added their two cents, commenting: ‘People would do anything for attention,’ with another jibbed: ‘Didn’t get the memo about not wearing white to a wedding.’

Certain individuals were furious with Anastasia, accusing her of trying to steal the limelight from the bride.

Another furious onlooker added: ‘I’m typically chill with whatever my friends wear but no one will wear white on my special day. I can’t.’

However, after being branded as ‘disrespectful’, the content creator revealed her twin had actually asked her to wear the bridal gown to her nuptials.

She explained: ‘This was per the brides request!!! She’s my twin.’

In a slideshow posted from the big day, both Anastasia and Francesca can be seen holding hands and sporting black sunglasses coupled with pair of big grins.

Francesca’s dress was an off the shoulder floor-length lace gown coupled with a veil.

Many users flooded the comments in shock that the twin would don the gown on her sister's big day, however some came to her defence calling the outfit choice 'adorable'

But not everyone in the comment section was against Anastasia for what would typically be considered a wedding faux-pas.

One person noted: ‘I was like wait but then went snooping and it’s actually really adorable and special thing to do with a twin.’

Another called the internet ‘toxic’, adding: ‘Why would people assume you would wear white to your SISTER’S wedding behind her back.’

Others were keen to see Francesca in her wedding dress, requesting to see the bride’s gown: ‘I love that you got to wear it again!!! you look perf. LETS SEE THE BRIDE!!!’
