EXCLUSIVE TO FOX: On Monday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) captured several illegal immigrants with criminal records, including offenses such as child sexual assault and armed robbery. This comes amidst a dramatic rise in attacks on ICE officers, which have increased by over 1,150%.

Among those arrested was a national from El Salvador who had been found guilty of multiple child rape charges in Massachusetts. Additionally, other apprehended individuals had committed violent crimes in various states including New Jersey, New York, Texas, and California.

“Despite the staggering 1,153% increase in assaults on our officers, they persist in apprehending some of the most dangerous criminal illegal aliens,” stated Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in a statement to Fox News Digital.

She highlighted that the arrests on Monday targeted “pedophiles, sexual predators, and armed robbers.”

McLaughlin emphasized, “Violent acts against our law enforcement will not deter us from removing criminal illegal aliens from American communities.”
