He is the leading man of one of the biggest rap metal bands in the world which reached it’s heyday in the late 1990s.

At one point in time his band was so big that their third studio album hit number 2 on the Billboard 2000 chart and stayed their for two weeks.

Back then the star was known for his distinctive goatee and red backwards New York Yankees cap.

However, now at 53-years-old the the singer and rapper has traded his infamous headwear for a wild set of grey curly locks.  

Among his band’s top 10 hits were also My Way and Nookie, with their album titled Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog managing to sell over one million copies and reach number one on the charts.

The band founded in Florida 1995 and features bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto, guitarist Wes Borland, and DJ Lethal – but can you guess who?

His band is currently on a UK and Europe tour called Loserville which had recent stops in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Ireland, and Glasgow.

On one of the stops, Fred certainly went wild as he showed off a new voluminous curly grey hairdo which bounced wildly as he performed.

The clip made it’s way around X (formally Twitter) when user @ItsLovelyLaveau posted a video of Fred doing a the robot dance move with his new look as they captioned it: I didn’t even recognize Fred Durst.’

Commenters were baffled by the different look as one said: ‘But why his curls poppin like that damn?!’

Others compared him to other famous figures.

One X user wrote: ‘What in the Frederick Douglass mixed with Nick Nolte?’

A different poster said: ‘That’s Fred Durst!? I thought Jerry Garcia came back from the dead.’

Limp Bizkit attempted a comeback when they released The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) in 2005, but it failed to reignite their previous level of success, causing the band to then take a hiatus.

Since then, Limp Bizkit have continued to tour on and off and perform at festivals.

They have hinted at new music a number of times, and in 2021 released an album titled, Still Sucks.

In 2022, Fred secretly tied the knot for the fourth time with a much younger woman named Arles in LA.

The blushing bride flaunted her diamond wedding ring in her Instagram profile picture and changed her bio to Mrs. D aka Arles Durst.

The rap-rocker was first pictured with Arles in may of that same year when he brought her onstage during a concert at Mohegan Sun Arena in Pennsylvania.

Arles sported an orange hoodie and blue jeans as she slow danced with Fred to George Michael’s 1984 hit Careless Whisper before the band performed their 1999 banger Nookie.

The brunette beauty is stepmother to Fred’s 32-year-old daughter Adriana (L, pictured in 2005) from his three-year marriage to first wife Rachel Tergesen, which ended in 1993

She is also stepmother to the musician’s son Dallas (L, pictured in 2019) from his two-month fling with Jennifer Thayer in 2000

The brunette beauty is now stepmother to Fred’s daughter Adriana, 34, from his three-year marriage to first wife Rachel Tergesen, which ended in 1993 and his son Dallas, 23, —  from his two-month fling with Jennifer Thayer in 2000. 

Fred’s third marriage to Crimean make-up artist Kseniya Beryazina ended in 2019 after six years and a scandal, which led to him getting banned from visiting Ukraine for five years. 

In 2015, Durst (born Frederick Mayne III) wrote a letter appealing administrators for a Russian passport in which he allegedly called President Vladimir Putin ‘a great guy with clear moral principles and a nice person.’

As well as touring and performing with the band, Fred has directed a number of films including The Education of Charlie Banks and The Longshots.

Five years ago, he directed the film The Fanatic, which starred John Travolta.
