'Foul-smelling' liquid in syringe sprayed at Ilhan Omar revealed

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has raised questions about former President Donald Trump’s mental state, suggesting he might be experiencing dementia. This speculation emerged following Trump’s dismissive response to a recent incident in which a supporter attacked Omar with a syringe containing apple cider vinegar at a town hall meeting.

Omar’s comments came after Trump, when questioned about the attack by 55-year-old Anthony J. Kazmierczak, remarked, “I don’t think about her.” The congresswoman found it perplexing that Trump could make such a statement given his earlier remarks during a rally.

“It’s quite ironic,” Omar noted, “that just last night, he spent significant time on stage talking about me, yet when asked about the attack, he claims not to think about me.” She questioned whether this apparent contradiction could be a sign of memory issues, asking, “Is he suffering from dementia? How do you spend 20 to 30 minutes on stage mentioning me repeatedly and then later say, ‘Ilhan Omar? I don’t think about her.'”

This incident followed a rally held by Trump in Iowa on Tuesday night, where he criticized Omar shortly before the attack occurred in North Minneapolis.

Trump had railed against Omar during a rally in Iowa Tuesday night, just prior to the attack in North Minneapolis.

The president criticized Omar as he spoke to a crowd in Iowa, saying his administration would only let in immigrants who ‘can show that they love our country.’

‘They have to be proud, not like Ilhan Omar,’ he said, drawing loud boos at the mention of her name.

He added: ‘She comes from a country that´s a disaster. So probably, it´s considered, I think – it´s not even a country.’

Omar said that Trump was specifically to blame for the amount of death threats she received.

‘What the facts have shown since I have gotten into elected office is that every time the President of the United States has chosen to use hateful rhetoric to talk about me and the community that I represent, my death threats skyrocket,’ she said.

The congresswoman noted that death threats against her ‘plummeted’ during Joe Biden’s presidency.

Asked if she was nervous about appearing in public, she said, ‘Fear and intimidation doesn’t work on me.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to the White House for comment.

The syringe is believed to have been filled with apple cider vinegar, Alpha News reported, citing Hazmat teams.

Kazmierczak was charged with third-degree assault and remains held without bail in Hennepin County Jail.

He has a criminal history and has made online posts supportive of the Republican president.

Kazmierczak, 55, was convicted of felony auto theft in 1989, has been arrested multiple times for driving under the influence and has had numerous traffic citations, Minnesota court records show.

There are also indications he has had significant financial problems, including two bankruptcy filings.

In social media posts, Kazmierczak criticized former President Joe Biden and referred to Democrats as ‘angry and liars.’ Trump ‘wants the US is stronger and more prosperous,’ he wrote. ‘Stop other countries from stealing from us.’

In another post, Kazmierczak asked, ‘When will descendants of slaves pay restitution to Union soldiers’ families for freeing them/dying for them, and not sending them back to Africa?’

Kazmierczak’s brother told The Independent that he’s ‘not surprised’ by his brother’s actions.

‘Not at all. Unfortunately, he and my mother are both right-wing extremists,’ said the brother, who did not give his first name and said he doesn’t speak to him.

He said that his brother has long held a dislike for Omar and ‘has had a hatred of the Somali community for probably 20 years.’

‘He’s got a lot of anger, I have no idea where it comes from. He’s always been that way. In and out of treatment since he was a kid.’

Kazmierczak confronted Omar after she called for Kristi Noem to resign while speaking about the recent Border Patrol shooting of Alex Pretti during a North Minneapolis town hall.

‘DHS Secretary Kristi Noem must resign or face impeachment,’ Omar says in footage of the incident.

Kazmierczak ran toward Omar and sprayed the substance at her from a syringe.

He then told Omar to resign and claimed she’s ‘tearing Minnesota apart’ before being dragged away by security guards.

Omar appeared ready to confront Kazmierczak before he was dragged away as she muttered: ‘F**king a**hole.’

She then answers an inaudible question from the crowd with ‘I don’t know’ and telling another member of her team that she needs a napkin.

When one of the bystanders tells Omar she needs to ‘get checked’ for whatever was sprayed at her, she stands her ground, saying:  ‘We will continue. These f**king a**holes are not going to get away with it.’

‘Here is the reality that people like this ugly man don’t understand: We are Minnesota strong.’

She has been hit by claims she faked her own attack after Trump declared ‘she probably had herself sprayed.’

‘No. I don’t think about her. I think she’s a fraud. I really don’t think about that. She probably had herself sprayed, knowing her,’ the president told ABC News when he asked if he’d watched the clip.

He reiterated that he hadn’t seen the video and added ‘I hope I don’t have to bother.’

The attack came days after a man was arrested in Utah for allegedly punching Congressman Maxwell Frost, a Democrat from Florida, in the face during the Sundance Film Festival and saying Trump was going to deport him.

The Capitol Police said that threat assessment cases against members of Congress, their families, staff and the Capitol Complex had increased for the third year in a row.

In 2025, the USCP’s Threat Assessment Section (TAS) investigated 14,938 concerning statements, behaviors, and communications, a 57 percent increase.

‘While security on Capitol Grounds has already improved, we have been strengthening our partnerships with law enforcement agencies across the country to keep the Members of Congress safe when they are away from Capitol Hill,’ said US Capitol Police Chief Michael Sullivan.

‘We want to make sure agencies have the resources they need to be able to enhance protection, which is critical to the democratic process.’
