In a troubling case from central Illinois, a 43-year-old woman, Robyn Polston, is facing serious allegations involving a teenage boy. Authorities claim she engaged in a sexual relationship with the minor and subsequently gave birth to his child. The incident reportedly began after she served as a chaperone at a middle school dance the teenager attended in 2023.
Polston, who resides in Washington, Illinois, has been arrested and charged with two counts each of criminal sexual assault of a minor and possession of child pornography. According to local news outlet WMBD in Peoria, she is currently being held in custody, with her next court appearance scheduled for December 4.
The investigation into Polston’s actions commenced shortly after she gave birth in January. Initially, Polston claimed the child’s father was a man in his twenties. However, a probable cause affidavit submitted this week in Tazewell County Circuit Court revealed that DNA testing contradicted her claim. The test results identified the father as a teenage boy linked to her.
