In a recent podcast episode, a former co-star of the Duchess of Sussex from the popular series “Suits” divulged a humorous tidbit about working with Meghan Markle, revealing her tendency to roll her eyes at him.

Speaking in Not Skinny But Not Fat with host Amanda Hirsch, Patrick J. Adams, who played Michael Ross in the legal drama, said ‘eye rolls were a constant with Meghan’.

The revelation came during a discussion when the actor was questioned about his Instagram bio, which playfully references his association with the show and Meghan’s royal marriage: “The other guy from that show that you’re watching on that app because that girl married that prince.”

In a snippet shared by People, Adams humorously remarked, “I’ve got to change that,” and noted that such jesting would often earn him a playful eye roll from the Duchess.

Reflecting on their time together on set, he shared, “I got a lot of eye rolls. That was a constant with Meghan—her rolling her eyes at me like, ‘Oh my god, what are you doing?’”

Adams further clarified that Meghan has never directly commented on his Instagram bio, but acknowledged that it might be time for an update, saying, “It’s going to have to change soon.”

Elsewhere in the episode, the actor said Meghan has suffered ‘insane’ experiences.

Hirsch also revealed that she received a handwritten note from the mother of two after she posted about With Love, Meghan on Instagram, following the release of its initial trailer.

Hirsh explained: ‘I was worried that this trailer would have people at her throat again, and she wrote me a note saying, basically saying, “Thank you for being afraid for me, but don’t be, it’ll be fine.”‘

Patrick said: ‘What she’s gone through is insane,’ before adding that he has also received handwritten notes from Meghan over the years: ‘Her handwriting is like a work of art, truly, it’s astonishing.’

Hirsch also joked that she received a package of Meghan’s As Ever spread and flower sprinkles, unlike Patrick, who quipped: ‘I don’t have enough followers I don’t think.’

The actor previously confirmed that he’s had no communication with his former co-star following the legal drama’s streaming success.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in 2024, after the show’s revived popularity following its arrival on Netflix, alongside Suits actor Gabriel Macht, they were asked: ‘Have you spoken to Meghan Markle recently?’

‘I have not communicated with her other than seeing her big support for the resurgence, and that has been really nice,’ American actor Gabriel, who played Harvey Specter in the series, said.

Patrick, whose Suits character Michael Ross was in a relationship with Meghan’s Rachel Zane, added: ‘Zero. No, no communication.’

The actor then jokingly pretended he was getting a call, saying: ‘Oh, hold on. There she is. Oh, got to go.’

At the Golden Globes in January that year, Patrick and Gabriel presented the best TV drama award before they were joined by fellow stars Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty.

Gina, who played lawyer Jessica Pearson in the US legal drama, revealed at the LA ceremony that the ex-castmates simply ‘don’t have [Meghan’s number’ when asked if anyone had reached out to the former actress.

An insider told Page Six that the Duchess of Sussex was invited to the event, but ‘unfortunately’ wasn’t able to make an appearance because of a ‘previous commitment’.

Speaking to Variety on the red carpet, Gina was asked: ‘Who texted Meghan and said ‘You’ve gotta come to the Golden Globes, Meghan Markle’.’

‘We don’t have her number. We just don’t so. She’ll see. She’ll watch. She’ll be happy that we’re here,’ said the actress, who attended the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan in 2018.

The interviewer also asked: ‘Did you plan this? Are you all texting each other?’ She explained: ‘When it all came through, we were all texting each other. Yes, our text thread is insane right now. So it’s very exciting.’

Suits originally aired on USA Network for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019, and saw genius college dropout Mike Ross join a high-profile law firm alongside Harvey Specter, Jessica Pearson and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), while Rafferty played Harvey’s no-nonsense assistant Donna Paulsen.

The Duchess played Rachel Zane, a paralegal who becomes a formidable attorney and eventually marries Mike Ross.

Earlier in the night while walking the red carpet, Gabriel discussed the show’s reawakened popularity.

‘It’s an amazing thing. We had some great success when the show was on… and then at a certain point, Netflix came in. It’s just gotten incredible eyes and we’re very grateful for it,’ he shared as per EW.
