In a dramatic turn of events surrounding the Celeste Rivas grand jury death investigation, a witness is now at risk of arrest due to non-compliance with court procedures. Authorities are grappling with this latest development as they seek crucial testimonies in this high-profile case.
The tragic discovery of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas’s remains in a Tesla, linked to the well-known rapper D4vd, has stirred significant attention. The vehicle was located in Hollywood, California, on September 8, casting a spotlight on the ongoing investigation.
Complications have arisen as a key female witness has failed to appear in court, prompting discussions of potential arrest. According to TMZ, this witness could soon be compelled to testify through legal means.
Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman, leading the case in Los Angeles, has communicated intentions to attorney Evan Jenness about requesting a ‘body attachment’ from the presiding judge. This legal measure, as outlined by usmarshals.gov, allows the court to direct the U.S. Marshal to bring an individual found in civil contempt before the court.
The unfolding situation highlights the complexities involved in bringing justice in this case, as officials strive to secure all necessary testimonies to uncover the truth behind Celeste Rivas’s untimely death.
The Daily Mail has reached out to D4vd’s representatives for comment.

Jenness represents Robert Morgenroth, 20-year-old D4vd’s — real name David Anthony Burke — manager.
Per TMZ, the unnamed female witness did not show up to court this week.
It’s unclear who the female witness is, but she’s represented by the same lawyer as Morgenroth.
Morgenroth previously spent about three days testifying in front of the grand jury.
On Monday, he was questioned by Silverman, who asked him why he didn’t call police about the 15-year-old victim, though the context of what the initial incident he would have contacted them over wasn’t immediately clear, according to TMZ.
At one point, Morgenroth and his lawyer had a discussion in the hallway of the court within earshot of others, the outlet reported.
Morgenroth told his lawyer that Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman had been ‘very pushy’ while questioning him.
Morgenroth was heard telling his lawyer that he explained to the prosecutor that he didn’t feel it was within his purview to contact authorities in the specific situation, which was not immediately clear.
‘I said I feel like I didn’t have the responsibility to do that,’ Morgenroth told his attorney, according to the outlet.
Morgenroth said he ‘just wanted to continue with the tour’ in his grand jury testimony, the outlet reported.

Meanwhile, the district attorney and Los Angeles Police Department have named D4vd as a suspect in Rivas’ murder.
Sources linked to the investigation have claimed that when the teenager’s corpse was found, in addition to having severed limbs, it was beheaded and chopped into pieces.
Her remains were said to have been ‘partially frozen’ and thawing in an impounded Tesla by the time they were found in September, insiders told TMZ in November.
As a result, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner may not be able to determine the cause of death, sources added.
But in November, a Los Angeles Police Department captain told KABC that claims of her body being frozen and decapitated were not accurate, and that she was ‘partially dismembered but not decapitated.’
While D4vd has been named as a suspect, he has not been formally charged with any crime and has not commented on the case.
A second suspect has also been identified in Rivas’ death, according to a podcast on the TMZ network. Defense attorney Mark Geragos and TMZ Founder Harvey Levin revealed their findings in an episode of their show 2 Angry Men.
Last month People reported similar information from a police source, but added that the unnamed person likely participated in the disposal of the body.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department discovered Rivas’s body after receiving reports of a foul odor coming from the vehicle.
Police said the automobile had been at the impound lot for a few days, and the body was in a bag inside the front trunk of the car on September 8.

Footage captured by ABC 7 showed police surrounding the car before it was eventually towed away.
It had Texas plates and had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills prior to being taken to the impound lot.
Just days before he was linked to the abandoned Tesla, the hitmaker plugged the deluxe version of his debut album Withered on Instagram.
D4vd’s released a studio LP album titled Withered earlier this year, and had been hitting the road to tour in support of it.
He released two EPs in 2023: Petals to Thorns and The Lost Petals, both through Interscope, the label which signed him in September 2022.
