‘SNL’ reveals if Morgan Wallen is invited back, Empire State Building trolls

Morgan Wallen is welcome back to Studio 8H.

Insiders at NBC informed TMZ on Monday that “Saturday Night Live” is open to having the 31-year-old country superstar back on the show after his sudden departure during a recent performance.

The insiders said “there’s no bad blood” on the show’s end with Wallen. From NBC’s perspective, Wallen walking off the stage as the credits started rolling was ” just an awkward moment,” according to TMZ.

Additionally, the sources claimed Wallen wasn’t “offended” by anything said during the episode hosted by Mikey Madison.

The “Last Night” singer, per TMZ, “had been on the ‘SNL’ set since Thursday and he knew all the jokes that were in the show.” The sources added that “there was no tension” between Wallen and the cast.

“We’re told everyone was friendly and having a good time. And Morgan even left the same way he came in for rehearsals, thinking that was the move,” the insiders shared.

The Post has reached out to reps for Wallen, NBC and “SNL” for comment.

Wallen served as the musical guest on the sketch comedy series for the second time on Saturday. He performed “I’m the Problem” and “Just in Case,” both from his upcoming fourth studio album that comes out in May.

As Madison, 26, closed out the show, Wallen hugged the “Anora” actress and then exited the stage while the closing credits rolled and the rest of cast celebrated completing another episode.

Afterwards, the Grammy nominee posted a photo of a private plane on his Instagram Story with the caption, “Get me to God’s country.”

Wallen’s actions sparked backlash on social media, as fans called him a “petty loser” and “tone-deaf.”

“Hope the tantrum was worth it because you’ll NEVER be on #SNL again,” one viewer wrote on X.

Someone else tweeted that Wallen appeared “sour” on the show and that both of his performances “were angry and weird.”

Josh Patten, a writer on the show, mocked Wallen’s private plane post by sharing a photo of a Krispy Kreme truck with the back end open, and the same caption: “get me to God’s country.”

But Patten clarified that he’s a fan of Wallen’s music in his follow-up posts.

The Empire State Building’s X account also also poked fun at Wallen by tweeting a photo of New York City with the caption, “get me to god’s country.”

Amidst the controversy, a source close to Wallen told TMZ on Sunday that his abrupt exit was not intentional.

The source said Wallen “entered and exited the studio the same way he did Saturday night during rehearsal and camera blocking all week leading up to the live show … so he routinely headed that way when he thought it was time to go.”

Wallen appeared on “SNL” for the first time in December 2020, two months after he was disinvited from the show because he was caught partying in Alabama without a mask amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

He appeared in a sketch that poked fun at the controversy at the time.

Then in 2021, Wallen was caught saying the N-word in a video released by TMZ, which he apologized for.
