Jack Quaid Screams In Pain As Drew Barrymore Waxes His Legs On ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’

An array of peculiar antics have come to characterize Drew Barrymore’s talk show. From reclining on the floor during George Clooney’s therapy role-play to delivering a eulogy for a Costco T-shirt worn by an audience member, and culminating in getting a tattoo live on the show. However, in the most recent installment of The Drew Barrymore Show, the multi-talented host explored new territory by administering a hot wax treatment to actor Jack Quaid’s leg.

“I’ve never waxed this before. Let’s do this,” Quaid said when Barrymore presented him with the bowl of hot wax.

The Boys actor pulled up his pants to reveal one hairy leg, which drew a strong reaction from audience members who knew exactly what was in store for him.

“This is what I’m talking about. This is some good hair here,” Barrymore said. “I’m not a professional. That’s probably not what you want to hear right now.”

As Barrymore spread hot wax on Quaid’s leg, he told her, “So far this is quite relaxing. You’re all laughing like you know exactly how this is gonna go.”

That’s when Barrymore decided to distract him by asking about his girlfriend, actress Claudia Doumit, and how he surprised her with a mariachi band for Valentine’s Day.

“I wasn’t in town so I wanted to surprise her with something. I didn’t realize you can just hire a mariachi band to show up somewhere. And so they showed up to — OW!” he screamed as Barrymore ripped the wax off his leg.

“Not to generalize but I feel like — OW!” he called out as she pulled the second strip off. “Not to generalize but women do this a lot. You guys are heroes. That was a lot.”

Barrymore admitted that she “didn’t do the second one as well,” while Quaid agreed that there was a “distinct difference” between the two.

Looking down at his patchy leg hair, the actor said, “It’s great. It’s so good. This is the exact way I’ve always wanted my legs to look. Just with this no man’s land in the middle. This is incredible.”
