A shooting incident unfolded in Jacksonville, Florida, where a man in his 30s was shot in the head outside a residence on C Street Lane, near the Magnolia Gardens area. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating this alarming event.
On Tuesday morning, just before noon, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the residential neighborhood near W. 45th Street. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to the head. Fortunately, medical personnel have deemed the injury non-life-threatening, offering a small relief amid the troubling circumstances.
Preliminary investigations by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office suggest that the victim and the suspect were acquainted and engaged in a dispute outside the home. During this altercation, the suspect produced a firearm, shooting the victim once before making a swift escape from the scene.
As the investigation is still in its nascent stage, authorities have not yet provided details regarding the motive behind the shooting or a description of the suspect, who remains at large. Officers are currently conducting interviews with witnesses in hopes of piecing together more information about the incident.
Due to the investigation being in its early stages, a motivation for the shooting was not immediately provided by JSO, nor a description of the missing suspect. Witnesses to the shooting were being interviewed Tuesday.
This is believed to be an isolated incident.
