JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Gates for the Jacksonville Jazz Festival are being delayed Sunday afternoon due to inclement weather, event organizers said on social media.

Organizers said the Jacksonville Jazz Festival is a rain or shine event, but if the festival’s Emergency Operations Command deems the weather severe, performances may be rescheduled or canceled.

“The safety of all guests and performers is our top priority,” organizers said. “If an evacuation is necessary, attendees are encouraged to seek shelter in their vehicles until it is safe to return.”

Organizers ask attendees to stay up to date on the event’s official social media channels for updates.
