In the early hours of Sunday morning, a teen after-party in Jacksonville turned violent, leaving four individuals wounded. The incident unfolded on A. Philip Randolph Boulevard, prompting a swift response from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities arrived at the scene around 1 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Their investigation uncovered that a physical altercation had escalated, culminating in gunfire that left two juveniles and two adults injured.

According to officials, the chaos erupted as the victims attempted to flee the scene. Two individuals sustained gunshot wounds to the leg and side, while the other two were grazed by bullets. Fortunately, none of the injuries were deemed life-threatening.

This unsettling event highlights the urgent need for measures to ensure the safety of young people at social gatherings. As the investigation continues, community members are left grappling with the aftermath of a night that was meant to be celebratory but ended in fear and turmoil.

Officials said the victims who were injured were running away from the incident when two of them were shot in the leg and side. The other two were grazed, and all of them have non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives canvassed the area for video surveillance and spoke with witnesses, according to a news release.

No other information was immediately provided. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500, or via email at jsocrimetips@jaxsheriff.org or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
