On Wednesday evening, Jacksonville police received a report about a missing boy at approximately 8:30 p.m. Thankfully, he was located safe and sound just before midnight.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) confirmed shortly before midnight that the boy had been found unharmed. To respect the family’s privacy, we have omitted his name from this report.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public to locate a missing young boy.
Authorities report that the 10-year-old was declared missing around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
He was last observed near Normandy Boulevard and Lane Avenue S., which is several miles away from his residence.
“We’re working hard to return him home safely,” JSO wrote.
The boy is described as being 115 pounds, 5’1″ and having dreads. He was last seen in an orange shirt with black or blue pajama pants.
