Hakeem Robinson, known in the music world as Ksoo, has admitted to his involvement in the murder of 16-year-old Adrien “Bibby” Gainer, pleading guilty to second-degree murder on Monday.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville-based rapper Ksoo received a 10-year prison sentence following his guilty plea to a 2019 murder. This adds to his existing life sentence from a separate conviction related to a 2020 murder, which was handed down in July 2025.
The guilty plea relates to the tragic shooting of young Adrien “Bibby” Gainer, which occurred on February 25, 2019, at the New Hope Apartments, previously known as the Hilltop Village Apartments.
On that fateful day, a horrifying 45 shell casings were discovered at the scene, as detailed in Robinson’s arrest warrant. The document explains that Robinson pursued Gainer through the apartment complex, ultimately shooting him at close range in the back of the head and neck.
In a chilling aftermath, Robinson reportedly took to social media, posting pictures and videos that boasted about the murder, according to the warrant.
Robinson received life in prison for the January 2020 murder of Charles “Lil Buck” McCormick on Oct. 1, 2025.
McCormick was shot to death in Dames Pointe Plaza on Merrill Road on Jan. 15, 2020. The crime was motivated by the death of Robinson’s stepbrother Willie Addison, who was shot when coming out of a club exactly a year before McCormick’s murder.
The two murder cases are related to a web of other crimes in Jacksonville and other parts of the state involving a gang rivalry. Robinson’s father, Abdul Robinson Sr., brother Abdul Robinson Jr., and cousin Leroy Whitaker were also convicted in McCormick’s murder.
Abdul Robinson Sr. was sentenced to time served, Abdul Robinson Jr. was sentenced to 12 years, and Whitaker received life in prison.
