Jacksonville police arrested Solomon “Bean” Roberts, accused of carrying nearly a pound of fentanyl, in a major drug bust.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville sheriff’s officers arrested Solomon “Bean” Roberts, a Jacksonville man they say they have watched delivering drugs for “some time,” they announced Wednesday. They dubbed the investigation “Operation Baked Beans.”

JSO says it discovered nearly a pound of fentanyl on Roberts, “enough to potentially kill more than 225,000 people.”

It also found 297.9 grams of the sedative Promethazine, 15.3 grams of crack cocaine, 3.38 grams of ecstasy, 351.3 grams of marijuana, a rifle, and $11,150 in cash, according to police.

Roberts faces five felony charges: trafficking in fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to sell/manufacture/deliver, possession of paraphernalia for the manufacture or delivery of drugs and knowingly owning or renting a structure of vehicle to be used for drug trafficking.

He is in custody at the Duval County Jail.

JSO says there are other arrests coming as a result of the investigation.

“Our team will continue aggressively targeting drug dealers to keep our city safe,” the department said in a statement.
