In a heartwarming turn of events, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office successfully reunited a missing child with their family after finding the child alone early on Sunday morning.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A young child who had been discovered wandering alone was safely returned to their family, thanks to the diligent efforts of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
By approximately 8 a.m., authorities confirmed the child’s identity and facilitated the reunion with the grateful family.
“We appreciate everyone who assisted in spreading the message,” the JSO expressed in a Facebook post.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office continues to encourage community support in similar situations, emphasizing the importance of public assistance when locating missing children.
JSO says officers found a child, who appears to be 4-6 years old, around 2:40 a.m. in the area of Gate Parkway North and Shiloh Mill Boulevard.
Officials say they are 3-feet, 11 inches tall, 40-50 pounds, has hazel eyes and shaved head. They were also wearing a white shirt and blue sweatpants when they found them.
