The Jacksonville Jaguars are gearing up for what many are calling the “most important game in franchise history” as they set their sights on the first round of the NFL postseason.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s a moment of pride for Duval County as the Jacksonville Jaguars, often labeled as a “small market team,” have successfully clinched a spot in the playoffs.
The Jaguars, boasting a 13-4 record, are returning to EverBank Stadium to go head-to-head with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, who stand at 12-5, in the highly anticipated Wild Card Round. This matchup has been heralded by the team as a defining moment in their history.
Since their inception into the NFL in 1995, the Jaguars have reached the playoffs a mere nine times, with their last appearance occurring in 2022.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence shared his excitement and determination with the media on Wednesday, saying, “You see all this stuff about all these teams that are kind of packing up, going home. And so that feeling of still playing ball feels really good. Now, we’ve got the Bills this weekend; whoever wins gets to keep playing. So, everything’s going into this one game, and we’re preparing the right way and just trying to keep our process the same as it always is.”
