Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin are set to reprise their roles as Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps in the highly anticipated “Zootopia 2.” The duo returns to lend their voices to the beloved characters in Disney’s latest animated feature.

In this sequel, Nick and Judy continue their work as partners in the Zootopia Police Department, tackling a new and challenging case that promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

For the actors, participating in the film is a thrilling creative journey, largely because the final product is difficult to envision during the voice recording process.

“You only contribute your voice, and then you witness how it integrates into this intricate, colossal project,” Bateman shared. “I think they mentioned there were about 700 people involved in the crew, which is quite humbling since you realize you’re just a small piece of something so grand.”

Goodwin echoed this sentiment, describing the collaborative process. “I spent time with one of my Judy animators, and they essentially act out our scenes based on our recordings,” she explained. “They add another layer of human study, which ultimately shapes the character. We become a blend of multiple influences. It’s really fascinating!”

When it comes to products connected to “Zootopia 2,” there are plenty – but it seems Goodwin is transfixed on one.

“I keep going through McDonald’s drive-through because I want to get a Judy toy. I’ve gotten five Nicks. Five Nicks!” Goodwin said. “I’m determined to get a Judy.”

“Zootopia 2” is in theaters on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
