The Giants are optimistic that they can reflect on the recent two months and identify specific trial-and-error instances. As an organization, they are eager to acknowledge that the early signs of Jaxson Dart’s development hinted at his potential as a successful NFL quarterback.

Following their move on April 24 to trade up in the draft and secure Dart at pick No. 25, the 22-year old has been consistently impressive. Although not every throw was perfect and not every read was flawless, the Giants are currently unconcerned about those minor imperfections.

From the moment they selected him, the Giants held a strong liking for Dart. As they have observed him up close, on their practice fields, in meetings, and within the locker room, their admiration for him has only grown.

“I feel like I’ve made tremendous strides especially from my first day to now, just being able to understand the pictures of the offense and whatnot,’’ Dart said Wednesday as the Giants finished up their two-day mandatory minicamp. “Obviously, I have to dive into a lot more but I’m definitely just trying to take it to the next level over the summer. Really just lock in, hone in on as much as I can throughout this time, so that way when I get back for training camp, I’m on an even better level than I’m now.’’
