Jay-Z and Beyoncé were spotted together on Sunday night, indicating a celebratory atmosphere following the recent dismissal of his teenage rape case.

The power couple dined at the renowned Italian restaurant Cipriani in Beverly Hills and were both pictured smiling as they left.

During the event, Beyoncé sported a blazer, showcasing her bare legs with a pair of shoes and white socks, contrasting her husband who was dressed entirely in black.

The rapper, also known as Shawn Carter, had been accused of assaulting a 13-year-old at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards party, reportedly alongside Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, according to a lawsuit filed in December of the previous year.

The unnamed accuser has voluntarily dismissed the case and Carter, 55, has now sued his accuser’s attorney Tony Buzbee, who filed the allegations.

According to insiders, Beyonce is said to be feeling an immense sense of ‘relief’ now that the lawsuit has crumbled.

A source shared with DailyMail.com exclusively, ‘Relief is too simple a word to describe what Bey is feeling right now after Jay’s current legal issues were dropped.’

The insider further revealed, ‘While they put on brave faces, behind the scenes, it was a stressful time for Beyonce, bringing back memories of when Jay had previously broken her trust.

‘On top of that, their children were affected.’

Describing the situation as ‘a complete nightmare,’ the source added that Beyoncé is relieved they can now move forward.

The source also noted that the pop star ‘expected the case to go much further,’ anticipating that she would be supporting Jay in court, much like Rihanna is doing with A$AP Rocky in his current gun assault case.

‘Now, Beyoncé can focus on her upcoming tour, her business, being a mom and wife, and enjoy the success of her recent Grammy wins,’ the source concluded.

‘It’s a great Valentine’s Day for her to focus on family and the future without the weight of this case hanging over her.’

Jay-Z released a statement on Friday saying: ‘Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious and appalling allegations have been dismissed. This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere.

‘The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I would not wish this experience on anyone.’

The 99 Problems hitmaker went on to reveal the toll that the case has taken on his entire family including megastar wife Beyonce.

The statement continued: ‘The trauma that my wife, my children, loved ones and I have endured can never be dismissed.

‘This 1-800 lawyer gets to file a suit hiding behind Jane Doe, and when they quickly realize that the money grab is going to fail, they get to walk away with no repercussions.

‘The system has failed.’

He finished off the emotional statement with a commentary on the court system and sexual assault allegations as a whole.

Jay-Z concluded: ‘The court must protect victims, OF COURSE, while with the same ethical responsibility, the courts must protect the innocent from being accused without a shred of evidence.

‘May the truth prevail for all victims and those falsely accused equally.’
