JD Vance rips Jen Psaki over jab she made about his wife

Vice President JD Vance expressed strong disapproval of MSNBC host Jen Psaki’s remarks about his wife, Usha Vance, which he labeled as “disgraceful.” Psaki had suggested that the second lady needed to be rescued from her husband.

During a stop on the tarmac in Tel Aviv, Israel, as Vance prepared to return to the United States, a journalist asked for his response to Psaki’s controversial comments.

Vance, visibly reacting with a grimace, stated, “Oh, I think it’s disgraceful, but of course the second lady can speak for herself.”

He further emphasized the strength of their relationship, saying, “I am very lucky to have a wonderful wife and I know – at least I hope – that my wife feels the same about me.”

Expressing gratitude for his wife’s support, Vance added, “We’re going to keep on serving the country together and I’m honored to have Usha by my side on this trip in particular, but always.”

Psaki – now an MSNBC host after serving as former President Joe Biden’s press secretary – tore into the couple during an appearance Tuesday on the “I’ve Had It” podcast with Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan.

“I think the little Manchurian candidate, JD Vance, wants to be president more than anything else,” Psaki said.

“I always wonder what’s going on in the mind of his wife. Like, are you OK? Please blink four times. Come over here. We’ll save you.”

Psaki argued that Vance is “scarier” than President Trump in some ways because he’s “willing to do anything” to get to the Oval Office.

“He’s young and ambitious and agile in the sense that he’s a chameleon who makes himself whatever he thinks the audience wants to hear from him,” Psaki continued.

Social media users blasted Psaki following her podcast appearance, calling her comments “disgusting” and “vile” for mocking the Vances’ marriage.
