Jennifer Lopez remained a dedicated stepmother to Ben Affleck’s son, Samuel, as they enjoyed a lavish shopping outing over the weekend on Saturday.

The 56-year-old singer—who recently offered fans a rare peek into her $18 million mansion—visited Balenciaga in Beverly Hills with 13-year-old Samuel for the casual trip.

Lopez was married to Affleck from 2022 until their divorce was finalized earlier this January. By marrying Ben, she embraced the role of stepmom to his children Samuel, Fin, 16, and Violet, 19, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Despite their split, it appears that Lopez – who is also mom to twins Emme and Max, 17 – still maintains a close bond with Affleck’s children. 

The actress showed off her sculpted midriff for the daytime outing wearing a long-sleeved, white cropped top as well as a pair of low-waisted black trousers. 

She also carried a Dior tote bag in her hand and slipped into a pair of nude-colored heels.  

Her long locks were parted in the middle and effortlessly flowed down past her shoulders in light waves. 

Lopez accessorized the outfit with a gold-chained necklace as well as flashy gold rings and fashionable shades. 

The Wedding Planner actress and Samuel were seen strolling through an indoor shopping area before stopping by one of the luxurious stores. 

The pair later made their way to an awaiting vehicle as the 13-year-old held a large Balenciaga shopping bag in his hand. 

Earlier this year in April, Affleck opened up about his ex wife’s ongoing relationship with his kids following their split. 

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor said, ‘For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them.’

Affleck also had sweet words for Lopez’s twins and further expressed, ‘I love her kids. They are wonderful. She is enormously important, [a] tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.’  

Back in 2023, Lopez previously opened up about having a blended family and the ’emotional transition’ of bringing everyone together.  

During an interview with Today, Lopez expressed at the time, ‘We moved in together, the kids moved in together. So it’s been, like, a really kind of emotional transition. 

‘But at the same time, like, all your dreams coming true and it’s just been a phenomenal year. Like, my best year, I think, since my kids were born.’ 

And while talking to Vogue in 2022, the On The Floor songstress explained that transitioning into a blended family ‘is a process that needs to be handled with so much care.’

‘But it’s going really well so far. What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him,’ she continued, referencing to Affleck. 

‘Someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can’t see with my kids because I’m so emotionally tied up.’ 

Lopez settled her divorce from Affleck earlier this year in January – after she had filed in August 2024 on their second wedding anniversary. 

And earlier this week on Friday, the Gone Girl actor was seen spending time with ex-wife Jennifer Garner as well as their kids Fin and Samuel for a rare family outing in L.A.

The proud parents joked and laughed as they walked toward the entrance of a movie theater with two of their children where Affleck’s mother was also waiting for them. 

The pair also share eldest child, Violet, 19, who is currently in her second year at Yale.

Garner and Affleck separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce three years later.

Although they have gone on to have other relationships, the two have managed to work together to bring up their kids.

‘I’m really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who’s wonderful and great and we work together well,’ the Oscar winner told GQ in an interview published in March.

A few months earlier in July, Affleck was the doting family man as he joined Garner and their kids at a baseball game in Boston.

He attended a Red Sox match as he traveled to the state of Massachusetts where he grew up and sat next to Garner as well as Fin and Samuel at Fenway Park.

Affleck was born in California, but relocated with his family to Massachusetts where they eventually settled in the city of Cambridge – which is just north west of the city of Boston.

Garner continues to move on with her romance with John Miller and it was reported in April that he is ‘basically living’ with the actress, a source told Us Weekly. 

Last month, the 13 Going On 30 actress was seen sporting a glittering band on her ring finger – sparking speculation about her relationship status with Miller.
