Jennifer Lopez was ‘not happy’ when she saw her ex-husband Ben Affleck back in the arms of his other ex-wife Jennifer Garner this week.

Daily Mail exclusively reported Jenny From The Block was taken aback by the display of affection so soon after their divorce was finalized.

Lopez, who is 55 years old, is reportedly involved in a ‘revenge romance’ as she is set to be seen with another famous figure next week, who is eleven years her junior. 

Lopez will be in New Jersey to film the Netflix romantic comedy Office Romance with handsome Ted Lasso veteran Brett Goldstein, 44.

Goldstein has openly admitted to having feelings for the singer of This Is Me… Now, going as far as to state that he ‘loves’ her. This is the reason he cited for selecting her to feature in the movie.

Ticket To Paradise director Ol Parker is heading up the feature as Lopez has been named a producer.

‘Following a challenging beginning to 2025, Jennifer is eager to embark on a new project, and it is certainly a bonus that she will be collaborating with a very attractive and intelligent star like Brett,’ a source shared with DailyMail.com.

‘It will be a reminder to Ben that she is still hot property in Hollywood and how can that not make her feel great?’ the source noted. ‘She is 55 and is still a box office dynamo. This will just be another reminder of that.’

It doesn’t hurt that Affleck was a Ted Lasso fan, either.

‘Ben knows who Brett is, he is plenty aware. Brett is younger and smarter than Ben. It will irk him for sure,’ the source said.

On Friday, Lopez shared on Instagram she was excited to start shooting the movie as she was doing a read through of the script. ‘This is gonna be a fun one ✨@Netflix Office Romance #NuyoricanProductions,’ she said in her caption on Instagram.

In the past Goldstein has admitted to having a crush on Bronx native Lopez. 

On an episode of his podcast, Films To Be Buried With, Goldstein referred to the 2019 film Hustlers, in which she played a stripper, as the ‘sexiest’ movie of the decade – before drooling over a scene of her cozying up to Constance Wu. 

‘It’s really good on every level,’ he gushed of the movie. 

‘F**king hell! 50! She’s 50! I love her!’

He also gave a shout-out to a scene which saw Lopez’s character cuddle with Wu in a fur coat.

That same fan account also pulled up a screenshot of a video Goldstein once posted that featured Lopez.

Expressing his fondness for the star, he added a heart-eyes emoji to the post. 

‘Never forget that Brett Goldstein loves @JLo …Said she was his crush and now starring in a romcom together…,’ the account wrote in the tweet sharing his screenshot. ‘You go, manifesting king.’

On Reddit, a fan said of the casting: ‘Brett adores Jennifer Lopez so I’m happy he’s getting to act with his crush!’ 

Others on Twitter gushed over just how happy they were to see Goldstein work with his crush. 

‘The duo I was hoping to see working together!’ one account posted. ‘@brettgoldstein mentioned many times in his podcast how much he loves @JLo. And as a huge fan of both of them, I can’t wait to see them together!’

The casting comes during an interesting time in Lopez’s personal life – she is a single woman after divorcing Affleck. 

As for Goldstein, he dated comedian Beth Rylance in 2021, and in 2022 The Sun reported they had split.

Deadline reported last September that Lopez and Goldstein will star in the Netflix romantic comedy Office Romance.

Other cast and plot details are still under wraps, while a release date has yet to be announced.
