Jimmy Butler made an early exit in Game 2 against the Rockets on Wednesday night.

During the game, the Warriors player had a tough fall in the first quarter while trying to grab a rebound, causing him to crash hard onto the court. Butler was in visible discomfort following the incident.

Golden State announced shortly after that Butler was done for the night because of a pelvis contusion, though its unclear how serious the injury is.

The injury occurred with 2:28 left in the first quarter when Butler got undercut by Houston’s Amen Thompson under the basket.

Thompson was attempting to maneuver around another player when he stumbled forward, inadvertently tripping Butler and causing him to tumble to the floor, landing heavily on his backside.

The fall was so hard that a loud thud could be heard when Butler hit the floor.

He immediately rolled over, grabbing his rear end before lying on the ground in clear pain.

Although Butler tried to soldier on, it was evident that he was unable to perform at his best, prompting him to exit the game and head to the team’s locker room.

The Athletic reported that Butler walked gingerly from the X-ray room back to the Golden State locker room, followed by his agent, Bernie Lee, and his trainer, Armando Rivas.

General manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. was also spotted checking on Butler.

Butler played just eight minutes before the injury and had three points on 1-of-2 shooting from the floor.

The Rockets were leading the Warriors 22-15 at the time of the injury.

Butler wasn’t the only one to leave in the first quarter, with guard Brandin Podziemski also coming out of the game because of a stomach ailment.

He was listed as questionable to return, and Golden State coach Steve Kerr told reporters before the game that Podziemski was dealing with a stomach issue from something he ate.
