Joe Rogan has expressed concern about the health of 79-year-old Donald Trump, especially in light of his recent actions against Iran. The comedian, who has thrown his support behind Trump for the upcoming 2024 election, is particularly worried about the president’s age as he escalates tensions with Tehran.
On the latest episode of Rogan’s podcast, guest Konstantin Kisin humorously remarked that it was a significant miscalculation on the part of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to challenge Trump. “Let’s f*** with that guy,” Kisin quipped, referring to the Iranian Supreme Leader’s stance.
Rogan responded with a mix of humor and concern, noting, “Right, he’s 80, he doesn’t have much to lose.” He elaborated on his apprehension, stating, “That’s the scary thing about old leaders — it’s like, death is imminent. It’s within a decade, if you’re lucky.” The looming reality of Trump’s upcoming 80th birthday on June 14 adds to Rogan’s unease.
Rogan concluded the discussion with a somber note, acknowledging, “That’s spooky.” His comments reflect a broader concern about the implications of having leaders of advanced age making critical decisions on the global stage.
‘That’s spooky,’ he added. Trump is set to turn 80 years old on June 14.Â
Should Trump survive his entire second term, he will pass Joe Biden by five months and become the oldest president in US history.Â
‘You’re making decisions for babies and children and the future of the world, if everything goes great,’ Rogan, 58, said.
Fellow guest Francis Foster and Kisin delved into the topic further, with Foster saying that your cognitive functions ‘degrade’ at Trump’s age. Meanwhile, Kisin noted that Trump seemed immune to the aging that befalls most presidents.Â
Popular conservative podcaster Joe Rogan admitted he’s ‘spooked’ by 80-year-old President Donald Trump’s health as he continues to strike Iran
The comedian, who endorsed Trump ahead of the 2024 election, said that it’s the strikes on Tehran specifically that concern him when it comes the president’s age
‘He is, I mean, he’s kind of weird. Like, when I think about how much Barack Obama aged. How much Tony Blair aged. Trump has not aged like that,’ Kisin said.Â
Rogan noted that Trump’s apparent timelessness is even stranger given the president’s favorite foods.Â
‘He has a terrible diet. Especially when he’s on the road, he just eats junk food.’
The MMA commentator added that Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr has told him Trump eats that way because ‘he knows he can eat it and not worry about getting food poisoning.’
Kisin and Foster were incredulous, but Rogan explained why Trump saw the fast food diet as safe. ‘It’s filled with preservatives,’ he explained.Â
‘So, you’re not going to get food poisoning from a Big Mac. When was the last time you heard about anybody getting food poisoning from a Big Mac?Â
‘It never happens cuz nothing can grow on those things.’
Rogan did note that Trump is ‘very lighthearted’ and ‘very impressive’ for not aging given all the stress he’s under.
This isn’t the first time Rogan has shown concerns over the president’s health conditions.
On his most recent podcast, guest Konstantin Kisin joked that it was a huge mistake for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to go: ‘Let’s f*** with that guy’
Fellow guest Francis Foster and Kisin discussed it further, with Foster saying that your cognitive functions ‘degrade’ at Trump’s age
In December, fellow comic Tom Segura appeared on Rogan’s show and suggested that Trump was ‘losing it’ based on some recent decisions, including the renaming of the Kennedy Center after himself.Â
‘I think everybody does when you get to a certain age,’ agreed Rogan, before adding that Trump’s recent behavior has been ‘nutty.’
Rogan, who endorsed Trump in 2024, then brought up the president’s new ‘wall of fame’ plaques that brutally trolled Joe Biden and Barack Obama on his podcast.Â
‘There’s nothing nuttier than the plaques underneath the president’s names,’ Rogan said.Â
Biden is referred to by his nickname ‘Sleepy Joe Biden’ and dubbed ‘by far, the worst President in American History’ in his plaque.
As Rogan went on reading the plaques, he asked: ‘How is this real? How are you allowed to do that?’
Amid his befuddlement, Rogan suggested that Trump get ‘a right-hand man’ who would talk him down from his worst impulses.Â
Rogan suggested it might be something Trump needs, given his age and the stress of his job and life in recent years.Â
In December, Rogan said that Trump’s behavior had been ‘nutty’ of late, prompting concerns about the 79-year-old president’s age
‘The stress of going through what that guy went through, where they were trying to jail him when they were going after him with the Russia thing, the Russia hoax, and all that s**t,’ he said.
He also pointed out that the president was still under 18 months from when he faced an assassination attempt. Â
‘Like they were trying everything they could to destroy him, just that alone has gotta’ break your brain, and then they took a shot at him.’
Earlier this week, the comic slammed Trump for going to war in Iran.
He called the war ‘insane’ and said it has led MAGA supporters to ‘feel betrayed’ by the president.
While talking to journalist Michael Shellenberger on his podcast, Rogan slammed Operation Epic Fury as not matching Trump’s campaign rhetoric.Â
‘It just seems so insane based on what he ran on,’ Rogan said.Â
The president touted his ticket with JD Vance as ‘pro-peace’ and suggested opponent Kamala Harris would send Americans to war. Â
Earlier this week, Rogan called the war on Iran ‘insane’ and said it has led Trump’s supporters to ‘feel betrayed’ by the presidentÂ
‘I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right? He ran on “No more wars, end these stupid, senseless wars,” and then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it.’ Rogan added.Â
Shellenberger partially defended Trump by saying that he only promised ‘no endless wars.’
Rogan quipped: ‘Listen, man, they’re all endless.’Â
He also echoed the likes of Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly, suggesting that the war is mainly being fought on behalf of Israel, saying ‘clearly, Israel wants this.’Â
‘It just doesn’t make any sense to me, unless we’re acting on someone else’s interests — like particularly Israel’s interests,’ he added.
Trump declared Monday that the Iran war will charge ahead just moments after he suggested the conflict could soon come to an end.
