The Jonas Brothers’ recent performance was a poignant farewell for fans at Jacksonville’s Daily’s Place, as it marked the final concert before the venue shuts down for a two-year renovation period.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On Tuesday evening, the Jonas Brothers delivered an unforgettable show at Daily’s Place, which will not host another event for the next couple of years.
Local resident Alyssa Ells, who hails from Jacksonville, eagerly anticipated the event while lining up outside the amphitheater.
“I’m super duper excited,” Ells remarked with enthusiasm. “This is my fourth concert, and the second one I’ve attended this year.”
The closure of the amphitheater is part of a broader renovation effort linked to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ “Stadium of the Future” project.
“I’m actually really sad about this. We saw Alex Warren here two months ago. I feel like this is such a personal and intimate venue to have, so I’m kind of sad it’ll be closed for a little bit.”
Bold Events, which operates Daily Place, said the venue is suspending programming for 2026 – 2027, according to our news partners at the Florida Times Union,
Since opening in 2017, Daily’s Place has hosted many shows. This year alone, they welcomed 24 events and more than 88,000 fans.
“I brought my Camp Rock shirt. I made my husband wear his,” said one fan, Daniella Defries.
Fans of all ages lined up early, many traveling from across the country.
“This sign says ‘only men I’d travel 2,751 miles to see,’” said Abby Fleury, holding her handmade, neon green sign.
And whether they knew it or not, all attendees became part of the venue’s send-off.
“It’s special, I didn’t know it was the last concert, and what a great way to close it out with the Jonas Brothers,” said Melinda Griffin and Emily Corder, two sisters attending the concert with their mom.
As the lights go down, fans said they were focused on soaking in every moment, enjoying the music and making memories.
“It’s a little heartbreaking, but I know when the stadium comes back it will be revamped, something new, something exciting. We don’t know what to expect, but I know it’ll be great,” said Kurrea Kimbrough, who calls herself the kart lady. Kimbrough mentioned how she received business over the years by driving people in her cart to and from the venue.
Construction on the Jaguars’ stadium of the future is set to be completed by the middle of 2028 and Daily’s Place is expected to reopen around the same time.
