New footage has revealed the extensive damage inflicted after a vehicle carrying Josh Hartnett was struck by a police car in Canada last week.

The 47-year-old Pearl Harbor star was a passenger in an SUV that reportedly collided with a police officer in St. John’s, Canada, on Thursday, resulting in minor injuries that led to a hospital visit.

Now, video shows the aftermath of the car crash – and the damage both vehicles sustained.

Footage shows not only major damage but also that the collision was powerful enough to set off airbags in both cars.

Both the police car and the vehicle Hartnett was riding in had front dents, all of which appeared to have come from the accident.

The front door of Hartnett’s vehicle was smashed inwards and the front right tire was also at a noticeable slant.

Insiders revealed that Hartnett was on his way home following the filming of an unnamed Netflix series when the incident occurred, as reported by the CBC.

A 59-year-old man whose name was not publicly released was driving the vehicle that Hartnett was in.

According to the CBC, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary communications officer Cst. James Cadigan stated that a police officer was taken to the hospital ‘as a precaution’.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said that Hartnett, his driver and the officer had been seen by medical professionals for minor injuries.

Both of the vehicles involved in the incident had been ‘significantly damaged’ as result of the collision, the CBC reported.

The publication reported at the time that officials were seeking witnesses and video in connection with the incident, and urged the public to contact them with information.

The incident took place at the corner of New Cove Road and Elizabeth Avenue.
