Josh Hart has been eagerly anticipating a break for quite some time. Despite any potential disappointment from not being selected as an All-Star reserve a few weeks back, he has managed to conceal it well. While participating in the NBA All-Star Game would be exciting for any player, Hart seems to view making the most of the All-Star break as the more appealing choice.
“I don’t [pay much attention to it],” Hart said in late January, when the list of reserves was revealed and he wasn’t on it. “I mean, it’s cool, and if I was ever able to get to something like that, it would obviously be an honor — but that’s not for a guy like me, man.”
A guy like Hart, he could use the full break, which for the Knicks will start after Wednesday’s game at the Garden against the Hawks and will last eight glorious days. He could use a few days on the beach — or just a few days off his feet. Hart is perpetually on the injury report because something is perpetually barking at him.
You play basketball like a bullet train, that’s going to happen.
