The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Julius Fagge III, 64, was also arrested earlier this year as part of two sting operations.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was arrested Thursday following an investigation into multiple decades-old child sexual abuse allegations — a case which the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is calling “beyond disturbing.”

Julius Fagge III, 64, is facing multiple charges of sexual battery on a child, officials say.

Fagge had already been arrested in February for soliciting a minor via a computer, according to the sheriff’s office. It was part of a Nassau County Sheriff’s Office sting called “Operation Deviant Nightfall,” a four-day coordinated effort starting Jan. 15, 2025. This phase led to 16 arrests, First Coast News previously reported.

A follow-up phase, called “Deviant Sunrise,” also reportedly resulted in seven more arrests over a two-month period.

After this, as JSO was following up on a warrant, investigators learned that Fagge “repeatedly” sexually abused several children in Jacksonville in the 1990s, all of which were under the age of 12 at the time, authorities said.

JSO said detectives traveled to Georgia and North Carolina to track down leads.

After interviews with multiple victims, as well as evidence, investigators were able to obtain a warrant for Fagge’s arrest. He has been booked into the Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.

“Your JSO will work closely with the State Attorney’s Office to get justice for the victims and families who must endure a lifetime of trauma from these acts,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post. “We want to point out there is not statute of limitations for this type of crime. You can always report cases no matter how long ago they happened.”

Authorities are also encouraging victims to come forward by calling the sheriff’s office at 904-630-0500.
