The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the man suffered a non-life-threatening injury after being shot once.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is recovering after being shot during an argument in Jacksonville’s Moncrief area Thursday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO Sgt. Richardson said around 9 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the 5900 block of Moncrief Road in reference to the man being shot. A First Coast News crew at the scene spotted evidence markers placed on the ground in the Edgewood & Moncrief Center.
Richardson said the man was in an argument with the suspect, during which the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots in the direction of the man.
According to Richardson, the man was taken to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury after being shot once.
After the shooting, which Richardson said appears to be an isolated incident, detectives responded to the scene and spoke with witnesses.
