A shooting incident unfolded at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to police reports.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Authorities from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office have confirmed that a man is recovering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound following an incident in the Springfield neighborhood.

Officers responded to the scene on the 2700 block of Hubbard Street Sunday evening after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, where he remains in stable condition, police stated.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office revealed that the victim was walking in the vicinity when an unidentified suspect approached and fired at him.
