A Florida judge has approved prosecutors’ request to access Tiger Woods’ prescription records in relation to his drunk driving case. This decision, reported by TC Palm, allows authorities to subpoena the pharmacy that dispensed Woods’ medications, though the records will remain confidential.
Judge Darren Steele’s ruling permits prosecutors to delve into the details of Woods’ prescriptions from Lewis Pharmacy in Palm Beach. Last month, the Martin County prosecutors sought comprehensive data regarding the medications, including any warnings about driving that might have been included on the pill bottles.
The prosecution is interested in obtaining all relevant information about Woods’ prescriptions issued between January 1 and March 27, the day of the incident. This includes when the prescriptions were filled, the quantity of pills, dosage instructions, and any special directives, as indicated by court documents.
The case stems from an incident where Woods reportedly lost control of his Range Rover SUV, colliding with a truck while attempting to pass near his residence on Jupiter Island.

The 50-year-old athlete was arrested at the scene after failing a field sobriety test and refusing to take a urine test while admitting to taking “a few pills.”

Woods has gotten into four car crashes since 2009 including one in which he was arrested for driving under the influence in 2017. He took a plea deal in that case.
In the current case, Woods has pleaded not guilty to one DUI count and one count of refusing a urinalysis test.
