In a high-stakes drama that unfolded in Belleview, Florida, the Department of Justice recently unsealed an indictment against Jordon Roger Anchando, a 46-year-old man accused of orchestrating a bank heist. If found guilty, Anchando could be looking at a sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison.
The incident took place on June 2, 2025, when Belleview Police Department officers swiftly responded to a panic alarm triggered at the Truist Bank located on Highway 484. Upon their arrival, it was confirmed that a robbery had indeed occurred, sending shockwaves through the local community.
According to the bank employees, a man entered the premises around 11:30 a.m., delivering a chilling ultimatum to a teller. The note he handed over read: “I have a gun. My partner will come inside and start shooting unless you follow instructions. $3,000 in loose bills in 1 minute. No alarms, no bait money, don’t say anything.” The threat of violence and the demand for cash left the staff in a state of alarm, marking the day as one of tension and fear.
This case is now unfolding under the scrutiny of federal authorities, with Anchando facing serious charges that could lead to decades behind bars. As the legal process moves forward, this incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers lurking in everyday settings and the swift response and ongoing efforts of law enforcement to maintain public safety.

The report states that after reviewing surveillance footage, a Palatka man, Jordon Roger Anchando, 46, was identified as the possible suspect due to matching facial features. He was arrested on Nov. 18, the DOJ says.
If convicted, Anchando faces up to 20 years in federal prison. He is currently held in the Marion County Jail.
