Ahoy, Katey.
Kate Middleton looked just like her late mother-in-law at a ship christening in Scotland on Thursday.
During her visit to the HMS Glasgow, the Princess of Wales was dressed in a stylish nautical-inspired Suzannah London coat dress worth $2,495, reminiscent of a similar outfit worn by Princess Diana back in 1993.
Princess Diana had worn her navy-and-white ensemble designed by Catherine Walker during a Battle of the Atlantic service in Liverpool, where she was accompanied by then-Prince Charles.
To complete her look, Middleton wore a large Philip Treacy hat, carried an Emmy London purse priced at $525, opted for Gianvito Rossi nude pumps, and adorned herself with two pieces of Diana’s jewelry – the iconic blue sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring and a matching set of drop earrings.
The stunning set features two large cabochon sapphires surrounded by a halo of diamonds and was last worn by Diana on the cover of British Vogue’s July 1994 issue.
Kate first wore the special earrings at the 2022 Trooping the Colour parade during the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, pairing them with a similar navy-and-white hat and an all-white suit.
The public outing comes after Middleton’s appearance at the Royal Garden Party earlier this week, where she looked cheery in a butter yellow Emilia Wickstead dress and matching hat.
She wore a different pair of sentimental earrings for that occasion, choosing the diamond drop style from her 2011 wedding to Prince William.
Earlier this month, the princess selected a different set of earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana for a VE Day service.
Kate has been back in the public eye for multiple royal engagements after recovering from her cancer treatment and missing most of the 2024 engagements she typically attends.
We can’t wait to see what else the Princess of Wales wears this year.
