Kate Middleton commemorated World Cancer Day by sharing a rare personal photo taken by her youngest son, Prince Louis.

On Monday, Middleton posted a photo of herself standing in the woods atop a fallen tree in Windsor.

The Princess of Wales, 43, flashed her 6-year-old son, who was behind the camera, a smile as she splayed her arms to the side.

The photo seemed to be taken during a cold winter morning as Middleton was bundled up in a long coat, mittens and a warm hat.

She accompanied the photo with a poignant quote in honor of World Cancer Day on Feb. 4.

“Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease. C,” the message read, along with a photography credit for Louis.

Middleton also shares 11-year-old son Prince George and 9-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte with Prince William, who she wed in 2011.

The social media upload came less than one month after Middleton revealed she is in “remission.”

On Jan. 14, the princess told her Instagram followers it was a “relief” to finally be cleared after completing her cancer treatments.

“My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything,” she wrote at the time.

Middleton mentioned that she is concentrating on getting better but acknowledges that it will take time to adapt to her new circumstances, which includes her new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she underwent treatment.

Regarding her role at the hospital, she expressed her aspiration for supporting pioneering research and exceptional medical care, alongside promoting the well-being of patients and their families, in order to save more lives and improve the journey of those affected by cancer.

The much-loved member of the royal family learned of her cancer diagnosis at the start of 2024 but opted to keep the specifics of her condition private. She then underwent a significant surgery on her abdomen followed by almost nine months of chemotherapy, which she finished in September 2024.

Since then, most of Middleton’s outings have been centered around hospital visits and philanthropic events.

The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly more focused on her charitable impact than ever after such a difficult year.

“She wants the focus to be on the really important issues, the people and the causes she is spotlighting,” a source told The Sunday Times UK in an article published Saturday.

The insider said the princess wants people to focus less on her outfits and “style” and more on the “substance.”
