KATSEYE called off its concert at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday, announcing the cancellation only 30 minutes before showtime after member Megan Skiendiel became ill.
The global girl group addressed the last-minute decision in a message shared through Instagram Stories.
“Unfortunately, Megan is unwell and unable to perform tonight,” the group said. “We want to give her the time she needs to rest and recover. We know many of you traveled, made arrangements and were excited to spend tonight with us.”
KATSEYE added that the members were “incredibly disappointed” to miss their Detroit audience and apologized for the disruption caused by the canceled performance.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding, and for continuing to show us so much love,” the group wrote. “We love you and can’t wait to see you soon.”
The Daily Mail has contacted KATSEYE representatives for additional comment.

Little Caesars Arena also confirmed the news on social media, describing the Detroit performance as postponed rather than permanently canceled.
The venue asked ticket holders to keep their tickets, which will remain valid for the rescheduled concert once a new date is announced. More details are expected to be sent directly to attendees by email.
“We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience,” the arena said, acknowledging in particular the fans who traveled to attend the show.
According to insiders cited by Billboard, KATSEYE completed a VIP soundcheck without Skiendiel while she rested ahead of the scheduled performance.
Sources told the outlet that concertgoers had already entered the arena when the cancellation announcement appeared on the venue’s large screens.
The group’s next scheduled appearance is at Chicago’s United Center on Thursday, provided Skiendiel is well enough to perform.
The abrupt Detroit cancellation prompted mixed reactions from fans on X. Some criticized the short notice, while others argued that the singers may have been pushed beyond their limits.
One fan said they had spent more than $1,000, taken time off work and made significant sacrifices to attend the concert, adding that they had suspected the show might not go ahead.

Another frustrated attendee said the merchandise booths had remained open despite the canceled concert. The fan, who said they had supported KATSEYE since Dream Academy, warned that the financial impact had changed their view of the group.
Another added, ‘Literally canceled it a half hour before the show starts after everyone got to their seats. How considerate.’
One user remarked, ’30 minutes before the show? You’ve got to be kidding me.
‘You’ve got thousands of fans, many that traveled hours for this show, paid outrageous ticket prices, hotel and parking accommodation prices, missed a day or days of school and you pull this s***.’
A concertgoer recalled, ‘We walked in 5 minutes after the announcement went up on screen and the lights were up.
‘I feel so bad for all the little girls sobbing but genuinely when are they going to fit in the reschedule?? I’m concerned. They need to make these announcements sooner!!!’
Others said that it was apparent that the members of the group needed some downtime, noting that two of the members – Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman – have been sidelined this year on hiatuses from the grinding schedule.
‘They NEED a break,’ one user said, adding that ‘these girls health and wellbeing are way more important than potentially carrying on when their conditions are not well enough to tour.
Reactions to the last-minute cancellation varied with fans on X, as some thought that the amount of time was unacceptable, while others said the singers were being pushed too hard
‘Glad they postponed the show and prioritized the members but i do feel so bad for everyone that was excited to see them tonight.’
Another added, ‘They need to let these girls take 2027 off and REST… it’s clear these girls are exhausted, and the company needs to recognize that.
‘Let 2027 be their year to rest, recover, and regroup so they can return in 2028 with ALL members healthy, refreshed, and ready for a new era. Their health should come before a schedule.’
The musical ensemble has been on a successful trek titled the WILDWORLD TOUR, including sold out dates in Europe and North America.
They are slated to conclude their 2026 slate on November 28 at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes.
