Pierce Brosnan’s wife, Keely Shaye Smith, appeared noticeably slimmer as she was spotted in LA with her husband, following her remarkable weight loss.

The 62-year-old author flaunted her trim figure in a black satin dress, complemented by a leather jacket, during an outing at Giorgio Baldi with her husband, the 72-year-old James Bond actor.

Smith looked radiant as she showed off her cleavage and trim waist while Brosnan looked dapper in a suit.  

Last year, Smith told Vogue: ‘I never shy away from … my curves. I never hide in baggy clothing.’ Pierce then added: ‘I love my wife’s curves.’

The couple tied the knot on August 4, 2001 and they share two sons — Dylan, 28, and Paris, 24.  

Back in 2006, Smith was featured in Vogue magazine’s annual ‘Shape Issue’ where she expressed pride in her curvaceous figure. Her husband praised her as ‘stunning’, sharing, ‘I love my wife’s curves’.

‘I never shy away from color or my curves,’ insisted the mother-of-two. ‘I like to play up my neckline and shoulders. If a jacket is pulling in the bust, I might just move the button an inch. But I never hide in baggy clothing.’

But despite her husband loving her curves, Smith has recently showcased an increasingly slender figure – with some fans first noting the producer’s weight loss in 2024.

The author – who appeared to gain some weight in the years after her wedding to Irish heartthrob Pierce – has faced cruel comments and trolling about her size throughout her marriage.

Last year, she took to her Instagram page with a defiant message about her body, expressing her ‘gratitude’ for all it has given her in the last six decades.

The journalist shared a quote from Lexy Florentina, a trauma-trained somatic experiencing practitioner, which read: ‘Look at your body.

‘Look at those arms that have held people they love. Look at those eyes that have seen oceans and mountains and big green trees.

‘Look at those legs that have carried you through your longest journeys. Look at your feet that have held you up on your hardest days.

‘Look at your smile that has grinned a million times at the moments that have brought you joy.

‘Look at your body… not for the curves or texture but for the moments that this body has given you. Look at your body. Now what do you see?’, concluded the statement.

Smith captioned the quote: ‘Gratitude for all my body has given and accomplished in 60 years.’

Brosnan is also father to Sean, 41, whom he welcomed with his first late wife Cassandra Harris.

The actor had married Cassandra in 1980 and also became stepfather to her children from a previous relationship: Charlotte and Christopher, 52.

Cassandra passed away in 1991 following a battle with ovarian cancer and daughter Charlotte also died in 2013 after a battle with the same cancer diagnosis.

Brosnan came to the defense of Smith on social media in the past when a social media user pointed out changes in their figures over the years on Facebook, per Hello! Magazine.

‘I strongly love every curve of her body. She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children,’ he wrote at the time.

‘In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I’m loving her even more that she is my children’s mother. And I am very proud of her, and I always seek to be worthy of her love.’

In 2023, when discussing the secret to their long relationship, Pierce told Fox News Digital: ‘We like each other a lot. We love each other a lot. And we’ve been down the road, and we’ve seen many, many hardships as families do, as we all do.

‘But watching someone grow up with you and grow old with you is a very spiritual journey. To watch each other change… whatever it may be, the hair, the waist. But it’s the love in the heart.’

At the start of her career in the spotlight – before trying her hand at acting, Keely modelled.

But her modelling days were short-lived, explaining to the Chicago Tribune in 1995: ‘I realized at some point I was propagating a beauty myth, so I left modelling and acted for a year.’
