Were you blindsided?

Country music singer Kelsea Ballerini was forced to abruptly end Thursday night’s show after just five songs into her setlist.

The singer behind the song “Cowboys Cry Too,” who is 31 years old, had to cancel her performance at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, due to illness.

After the 5-time Grammy nominee sang a handful of songs, a member of the crew went on stage and broke the unfortunate news to fans.

During the concert, a crew member informed the crowd that the singer was too unwell to continue the show, expressing regret for having to deliver such news.

The crew member mentioned that despite their efforts, the singer was unable to complete the performance due to her illness. The staff member assured the audience that they would explore potential options and communicate further details via email.

The news received a mixed response.

Ballerini quickly jumped on social media after hitting the brakes on her performance, vowing to make it up to her frustrated fans.

“Buffalo, I am so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” Ballerini said in a video on her Instagram Story. “I am sicker than I’m trying to be, and I did not want to let anyone down tonight, and I just got through the first few songs and I couldn’t do it. And I am so sorry, but I never want to give you a half-ass show.”

“We are rescheduling tonight, Buffalo, tomorrow, Pittsburgh, and the next day, Toronto, to the end of the tour and I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life, and I will pull out every stop for you, and I will make it so worth it.”

“I’m going to go rest now, and get better, so I can really show up for the rest of this tour, and I hope you understand, and thank you for the grace to be human and I love you,” she added.

Overnight, the “Peter Pan” singer posted a shout-out to a fan who made her a dog pillow that she seemingly will use to help her rest up and recover.

“I can’t even tell you how much I needed this and what it means,” Ballerini captioned as she took a selfie cuddling with the gift.

The two-time CMA award winner’s unexpected finish came just days after she complained about having the flu on social media, and again during Thursday’s show.

“Yesterday I took enough DayQuil and Nyquil to like tranquilize a horse and I laid in bed,” Ballerini joked on stage with fans during the Buffalo show.

The rescheduled show is now slated to take place on April 11 in Buffalo, before her Pittsburgh show on April 12 and Toronto on April 13.
