Unfortunately for Kelvin Banks Jr., the biggest moment of his young career was a little bit overshadowed.

The Saints chose the ex-Texas offensive tackle at the No. 9 spot in the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday. During the ESPN broadcast, the focus shifted to Banks and his family, captured in a heartfelt moment marked by tears of joy.

However, many fans had their eyes on Banks’ son, Khalil, rather than the NFL rookie himself, as the infant son was jostled around in celebration.

Whether it was the movement or not, the baby threw up on live television.

Fans went on a run with the viral moment on social media.

“We just had a baby throw up during the NFL Draft,” an X user wrote.

“Kelvin Banks the 3rd thinks the #saints isn’t a good fit,” another posted.

“DONT SHAKE THE BABY…unless his daddy just got drafted to the NFL,” someone posted on X.

Banks and his partner, Demetria Bolden, announced they were expecting the baby in November.

Little does baby Khalil know that his father just joined the NFL, and at 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, Banks could be a solid foundational piece for the Saints.

Last season, Banks won the Lombardi Award for college football’s best lineman.

He also earned a unanimous All-American nod and the 2024 Outland Trophy as the best interior lineman.

Across three seasons at Texas, he started in 42 games.
