Kendrick Lamar turns out to be a lot like Timothée Chalamet — at least in the pants!
The two individuals have the same stylist, Taylor McNeil, and reports suggest that the $1,300 Celine jeans Lamar sported during his halftime show at the Super Bowl 2025 were originally intended for the famous actor from the movie “A Complete Unknown.”
A source disclosed to Page Six that their stylist had picked out various denim pieces for Lamar’s appearances at the Grammy and Super Bowl events, however, the size 29 Celine women’s jeans surprisingly fit the rapper’s hips perfectly, despite his waist being a size 33.
Reps for all parties did not comment on the switcheroo — but luckily for luxe brand Celine, the jeans had quite a moment at the Super Bowl.
Fans hotly debated if the pants were bootcut or bell bottoms, and the Celine site says they’re “flared surf jean in summer dazed wash.”
Either way, Chalamet, 29, is reportedly 5-foot-10, while Lamar, 37, is said to be 5-foot-5 — so maybe that accounted for the pants’ copious length?
For the performance, Lamar teamed the jeans with a personalized blue leather Martine Rose varsity jacket that showcased vintage sports detailing and exclusive embroidery, as documented in an Instagram Story posted by McNeil following the show. Additionally, he accessorized with a $68,000 Rahaminov diamond brooch attached to his cap.
Lamar was the first solo rap act to ever perform music’s biggest stage.
“My intent was to always keep … the nature of it as a sport,” Lamar said during an exclusive interview on Thursday with show sponsor, Apple Music.
The big game even set a record for total viewers, with Lamar’s performance helping bring in more fans.
SZA joined him on their songs “All the Stars” and “Luther.” But the biggest surprise of the night was when tennis great Serena Williams helped Lamar close out the show by crip-walking to the rapper’s smash Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” which just earned him five Grammy awards last week.
Lamar also boldly performed more obscure songs such as “Man at the Garden” and “Peekaboo” from his new “GNX” album, with Samuel L. Jackson narrating the performance as Uncle Sam.
Lamar told Apple Music: “How I process it all is just… I continue to do what I was doing 10 years ago, and that’s, like, get better in myself, better in the craft, and not look at the bright lights… I gotta look at myself in the mirror rather than looking at the crowd or, you know, fame and attention.”
All while wearing a women’s Celine jean meant for Chalamet!
