Kim Kardashian’s shapewear label SKIMS is facing a wave of online ridicule over its much-criticized “junk” advent calendar.
The brand introduced its $148 accessories advent calendar last month. Listed on the SKIMS website as containing 12 days of “fun surprises,” the collection promised a mix of items including hair accessories and keychains.
Although shoppers quickly snapped up the calendar, excitement faded for many customers when they revealed what was included inside.
TikTok creator @wetsloppyswollen posted a video showing herself unboxing all 12 products this week. The clip quickly went viral, triggering a flood of criticism aimed at the underwear and shapewear company.
Her unboxing began with a tiny teddy bear keychain, an item that appeared to genuinely delight her.
That enthusiasm disappeared when she opened the second compartment and found only a small selection of hair ties.
“Okay?” she responded, looking puzzled. “I guess you can always use some hair ties.”
The remaining reveals included hair scrunchies, several bobby pins, SKIMS-branded hair clips and a SKIMS “squishy.”

‘I’m gonna lose my mind. I’m about to get pissed off,’ she said. ‘I better start pulling better s**t because this was way too expensive.’
Next, she revealed what appeared to be two bra straps, another set of bobby pins, a small comb, a SKIMS keychain and a small compact mirror.
‘Perfect, more bobby pins, I wanted that so bad,’ she said sarcastically.
Her video raked in more than 14 million views, and many people rushed to the comment section to slam SKIMS over the meager gifts included in the pricey advent calendar.

‘I wouldn’t pay $15 for that,’ one person raged, while another wrote: ‘This is straight up disrespectful’

Another person said the products resembled a ‘Temu joke,’ while a different user called them ‘junk.’

Many other TikTok users shared their own reviews of the SKIMS advent calendar after opening the items, and they had similar reactions.
Influencer Joanne Pauze wondered: ‘Kim… is the rest of the bra coming on Christmas Day?’
Another woman posted pictures of the ‘haul,’ writing: ‘I don’t know what I expected, but I know it wasn’t this. I should’ve bought clothes instead.’
