Kimora Lee Simmons’ Bold Stand: The Battle Over Her $25M Beverly Hills Mansion

Kimora Lee Simmons is reportedly resisting efforts to leave her opulent $25 million Beverly Hills mansion, which was purchased by her estranged husband, Tim Leissner, in 2017. The funds used for this purchase were allegedly part of the $4.5 billion he misappropriated from the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund 1MDB.

In a twist three years after acquiring the mansion, the 56-year-old Leissner, who has since been convicted, sold the seven-bedroom estate through his LLC, Keyway Pride, to real estate moguls David and Simon Reuben. The sale agreement included a stipulation for monthly payments of $67,000, as reported by the New York Post.

Despite this, the 50-year-old reality TV star has reportedly been residing at the sprawling 3.7-acre property on Beverly Park Circle since November 2020, without having made any rent payments to date.

Adding to the intrigue, Simmons, whose maiden name is Perkins, used this lavish residence as a backdrop for her recently rebooted E! reality show, “Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane.” The show highlights the mansion’s extravagant features, including a closet that holds an impressive collection of 698 designer bags.

The Daily Mail reached out to Simmons’ representatives for a comment regarding the situation but has not yet received a response.

A trial-setting conference for the civil dispute over possession, title and liability of the legally contested home is scheduled for February 25.

The Baby Phat founder challenged the sale and leaseback of the property in Beverly Hills court in 2021, claiming the Reuben brothers illegally bought the house without her permission, but she allegedly signed a Keyway resolution authorizing the sale.

The vegan yogi’s #MeToo scandal was detailed in Kirby Dick + Amy Ziering’s critically-acclaimed documentary On the Record, which premiered in 2020 on HBO Max.

Simmons mothered 16-year-old son Kenzo with ex-fiancé, two-time Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou, and she has an adopted 16-year-old son Gary as well as a ‘bonus 19-year-old son’ called Jaden.

The venture capitalist also serves as godmother to incarcerated rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ 19-year-old twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila.

‘The kids are with me full-time,’ the divorced mother-of-six told People.

‘I’m pretty much the primary parent. It’s difficult, but I don’t know sometimes what other people are thinking. Guys are weird. If I wasn’t this person, I don’t know if we would’ve made it or if we would be okay.’

Her ex Russell then clapped back on Threads on December 14 claiming she kept him from speaking to their daughters and he gave her ‘$50,000 a month for 20 years’ until he sued her over the sale of Celsius stock shares.

‘My “girls” are grown women! You know these are lies,’ Simmons Instastoried in response.

‘Why are you typing from thousands of miles away in a non extradition country? Go negotiate and answer your accusers.’
