During the 2007 playoffs, when points were hard-earned commodities, LeBron delivered a remarkable performance by scoring 25 consecutive points in a pivotal Game 5 victory against the Detroit Pistons. The spectacle was unforgettable, and Brown’s main tactic was to simply stay out of James’ way.
Reflecting on that night, Brown, who was then at the helm of the Cleveland Cavaliers, shared his memories on Friday. “I’ll never forget it,” he said. “Detroit called a timeout, and we gathered as a coaching staff. I had some great coaches with me, and one of them suggested we give LeBron some advice.”
He continued, “But I decided there was no chance I was going into that huddle to say anything to him while he was in the zone. I just let him do his thing. Watching him was incredible. It truly felt like I had the best seat in the house.”
