It’s safe to say Kody Clemens made his father proud Saturday.

Kody, the son of former MLB star and pitcher for the Red Sox, Roger Clemens, smashed a home run for the Twins in the sixth inning of Saturday’s game at Fenway Park against Boston.

“It was amazing,” Roger said, standing in the box during a rain delay with his wife — Kody’s mother, Debbie — and Kody’s wife, Jessica.

Reflecting on the moment, Roger Clemens expressed his joy at his son’s achievement, emphasizing the significance of Kody hitting a home run at Fenway Park in a crucial moment.

Following Kody’s home run, a fan threw the ball back onto the field, where a ball attendant retrieved it in right field before tossing it back into the stands.

Roger, however, somehow managed to get the ball.

“We got the ball,” Roger said after the Twins’ 4-3 win.

He explained that a friend of his took note of where the attendant threw the ball, and then the friend was able to get the fan up and their family up to Roger’s box.

The seven-time Cy Young Award winner said he took a photo with the fan and plans to send them some things.

“It was so crazy,” Debbie said of what the three of them did, celebrating in the box. “It was just great being here and for his first time being able to play.”

Kody, 28, is currently in his fourth season in the MLB, and was previously with the Phillies before they designated him for assignment in April.

The Twins purchased Kody’s contract on April 26, and has played five games with the club so far.
