Kourtney Kardashian Barker has had enough of feeling like a spectacle. In a recent episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, the founder of Lemme expresses frustration over fans snapping photos of her when she’s out in public.
The third episode of Season 7, aptly named “I’m About to Lose My Shit,” trails Kourtney and her husband, Blink 182’s drummer Travis Barker, as they explore New Orleans. Travis is preparing for the band’s performance leading up to the 2025 Super Bowl. On the morning of the concert, the couple participates in a 5K run supporting relief efforts for the LA wildfires that devastated the Palisades and nearby regions earlier this year.
During this run—which Kourtney was reluctant to participate in—she requests a post-run treat of New Orleans’ renowned beignets from Travis, a plan they eagerly follow through on.
Seated at the iconic Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter, Kourtney becomes aware of fans discreetly capturing images of her and Travis.
“Should we ask these people to stop [videoing] so I can take a bite?” she questions, only for Travis to remind her, “Babe, you’re in here with, like, big cameras.”
While Kourtney says she doesn’t mind meeting fans, there are still times when she would prefer to go unnoticed, especially since it’s not often that she leaves her house these days.
“Travis is really good at tuning out all the noise around us, or the people taking sneaky photos,” she says in her confessional. “Can I just eat a beignet and get powdered sugar all over my face and drink a hot chocolate? I just ran three miles and I just want to eat in peace.”
“I like meeting people. I love saying hi to people. It’s not about that,” she continues after pointing out a woman outside of the window, “zooming in” on her as she chows down on her sugary snack. “It’s more like this sense of like, ‘Well, you’re out in public, so you owe it to us to take a photo.’ It’s hard for me to tune it out, but I try.”
Still, the nosy onlookers don’t stop the married couple from making out in the middle of the cafe. If there’s one thing Kourtney and Travis are going to do, it’s give new meaning to the French Quarter.
New episodes of The Kardashians air every Thursday on Hulu.
