Kris Jenner, renowned for her expertly rejuvenated appearance, faces a new challenge as experts caution against attempting to reverse signs of aging on another part of her body—her hands. Although Jenner, now 70, has been lauded for her recent $100,000 facelift, recent photos revealing her hands’ natural aging have sparked rumors of a potential cosmetic procedure to address this area.
While facial enhancements have become routine for many in Hollywood, the potential for a ‘hand lift’—a procedure aimed at minimizing wrinkles and sagging skin on the hands—brings with it significant warnings from medical professionals. The hands, unlike the face, present a unique set of risks due to their complex anatomy.
Dr. John Diaz, a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills, emphasized the dangers associated with hand surgery. “The hand has a lot of very important nerves, tendons, and blood vessels – and any damage can result in severe disability,” he explained, highlighting how even a minor error during surgery could lead to life-altering consequences.
With such high stakes, the decision to pursue hand rejuvenation requires careful consideration and understanding of the inherent risks involved. As the debate continues, it serves as a reminder of the intricate balance between the desire for youthful aesthetics and the importance of safeguarding one’s health.
He warned that even a small surgical misstep could have devastating consequences.
‘Permanent numbness of the fingers, inability to bend or move the fingers, and even tissue death are possible,’ Diaz added.
The 70-year-old momager has proudly debuted her incredible $100,000 facelift in recent months, but recent unflattering photosof her wrinkled hands (seen here) have sparked speculation that a drastic new cosmetic tweak could be on the table.
But doctors exclusively tell the Daily Mail that attempting a so-called ‘hand lift’ carries serious, even life-altering risks.
Jenner was recently photographed in St. Barts without the gloves she had worn for months, exposing hands that starkly contrasted her newly refreshed face.
The difference was impossible to miss: smooth, tightly lifted skin above the shoulders – and visibly weathered hands below.
The unsightly photos were soon followed of reports that Jenner was weighing a ‘ultra-vain’ and ‘hugely risky’ fix.
‘She has been making detailed enquiries about possible surgical solutions,’ a source close to Jenner told RadarOnline.
But while experts concede that the photos were unflattering, they caution that going under the knife to fix the problem could come at an enormous cost.
‘Worst case scenario is loss of motor function,’ Dr. Ariel Ostad MD, one of New York’s top cosmetic dermatologists and facial cosmetic surgeons, told the Daily Mail.
‘As with any cosmetic procedure, there are inherent risks, and those risks become more pronounced with advancing age,’ he added.
Ostad explained that age-related complications make hand surgery particularly precarious.
‘In older patients, concerns include delayed wound healing, increased risk of infection, prolonged swelling, scarring, changes in skin sensation, and vascular complications,’ he said.
Jenner herself may already be keenly aware of the scrutiny surrounding her hands.
At her lavish 70th birthday bash in November, she showed off her refreshed face while keeping her extremities concealed beneath long black opera gloves.
Diaz believes ‘someone like Kris Jenner would benefit from hand rejuvenation,’ noting that she falls within the typical age range for patients who seek the procedure.
He then broke down exactly why the hands tend to betray age so dramatically.
‘There are two main changes,’ he said. ‘First, loss of volume makes tendons and blood vessels more visible. Second, skin changes lead to hyperpigmentation and age spots.’

Jenner’s hands have sparked surgery speculation before.
In 2016, she posted an Instagram photo showing her hand heavily bandaged, immediately setting off chatter about what kind of procedure she may have undergone.
At the time, many assumed the injury was cosmetic and the image quickly made the rounds online.
Her team later insisted the procedure was medically necessary – not aesthetic.
Years later, the conversation reignited.
In October, a Reddit thread titled ‘Hands don’t lie’ went viral after fans spotted Jenner seated at a table with her fingers clearly visible.
‘Watch her start wearing gloves now!! New fashion statement,’ one user joked.
Another added, ‘Madonna wears them too. The hands don’t match the face.’
Despite the speculation, both doctors cautioned that surgery may not be the smartest option.
‘Chronological age alone isn’t the sole determinant of risk,’ Ostad said. ‘Overall health, skin quality, lifestyle, and technique matter. That’s why non-surgical or minimally invasive treatments are often preferred in older patients.’
Diaz agreed – and revealed his safer alternative.
‘My preferred approach is adding volume and resurfacing the skin,’ he said. ‘That can mean using the patient’s own fat or injectables to fill spaces between tendons, combined with CO2 laser resurfacing to improve texture and pigmentation.’
The goal, he explained, is rejuvenation without risking function.
Jenner’s most recent facelift – performed by celebrity surgeon Dr. Steven M. Levine – was confirmed earlier this year, with the momager admitting it was time for a ‘refresh.’

Reflecting on the procedure in an August interview with Vogue Arabia, Jenner said: ‘I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh. I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy.’
On The Kardashians reality series, she recently joked that her nose might be ‘the only real thing’ left, prompting her daughter Kim Kardashian to reassure her that her teeth were still natural.
Certainly, Jenner is no stranger to cosmetic procedures.
As well as the previous face lift, she has had Botox over the years, a breast augmentation in the 1980s, earlobe reduction in 2018, and a ‘very scary’ hip replacement in 2022.
Still, when it comes to her hands, experts warn that chasing youth could come at a devastating cost – one that no amount of money can undo.
