Andrew Cabot, the spurned husband of HR executive Kristin Cabot, has spoken about their divorce following her viral kiss cam incident with ex-CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert.
The Massachusetts businessman, who leads Privateer Rum, a New England distillery, has commented on their ill-fated relationship after Kristin decided to end it and filed for divorce last month.
A representative for the 61-year-old businessman informed People that he and Kristin “had separated privately and amicably several weeks before the Coldplay concert.”
“Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” the statement continued. “Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.”
“No further public comment will be made,” it concluded.
Cabot, 52, filed a divorce petition from Andrew less than a month after she was caught canoodling with her boss at a Coldplay concert in Boston.
Paperwork viewed by the Mail shows that the HR exec filed papers to dissolve the marriage at a court in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on Aug. 13.
Andrew, a sixth-generation heir to the Privateer Rum fortune, had been on a business trip to Japan during the kiss-cam debacle and was blissfully unaware that his wife was publicly cozying up to Byron until he came home.
The Cabots had purchased a $2.2 million two-story, four-bedroom New Englander-style house — located minutes from the Atlantic coast — just five months before the scandal.
The divorce is Andrew’s third. The businessman has two kids from a previous marriage.
Kristin, for her part, was previously married to Kenneth Thornby, whom she divorced in 2022. The exes reportedly share a child.
In July, Kristin and Byron were mistakenly caught on an impromptu kiss cam as part of “The Jumbotron Song” — which leads the band into their 2005 hit “Fix You.”
Seconds after realizing the pair were on the big screen, the frazzled CEO was seen quickly ducking out of frame, with a mortified Kristin turning away from the crowd of 55,000 concertgoers at Gillette Stadium.
At first, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin thought the camera had captured a sweet moment, saying, “Look at these two.”
But following their bizarre reaction to being on camera, the crooner quickly became confused.
“Oh, what?” the “Clocks” singer can be heard saying on stage. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
“Holy s–t. I hope we didn’t do something bad,” he said.
It soon emerged that Byron was married to Megan Kerrigan Byron — who had immediately removed her married name from her Facebook page following the ordeal.
