Kristin Juszczyk responds to husband Kyle Juszczyk's 49ers release

Fullback Kyle Juszczyk will be looking for a new home in 2025 after he was informed by the 49ers on Monday that he would be released — and his wife didn’t seem too pleased about it.

The news, which was reported by ESPN, ended an eight-year run with the 49ers that started back in 2017.

The 33-year-old fullback is planning on playing in 2025, and he was due to count against the cap to the tune of $6,496,750.

The 49ers will save themselves $2.9 million in cap space for 2025, and that could move to $4.6 million if Juszczyk is designated as post-June 1 release, according to OverTheCap.com.

While Juszczyk has not publicly addressed the news, his wife, Kristin, reacted to it via social media posts.

In an Instagram Story, she posted a photo of the couple’s dog looking unhappy with the word “Mood” written at the bottom.

She later posted a screenshot of a FaceTime call with George and Claire Kittle with both the Juszczyks and Kittles looking upset about the news — including upset emojis.

The photo was viewed by The Post before Kristin Juszczyk quickly deleted it.

The couples were very close during their time in San Francisco — as Claire Kittle also expressed her heartbreak through a number of photos on her Instagram Story on Monday night.

George Kittle also reacted in posts on X and his Instagram Stories.

The X post included a broken emoji and a juice box emoji and then in an Instagram Story he posted a photo with himself and Juszczyk with the words “Day one juice” included.

Juszczyk has been in the league since 2013 and spent his first four years playing for the Ravens.

While addressing his future after the 49ers season-ending loss to the Cardinals, Juszczyk expressed confidence in his game still.

“I know I’m not done,” Juszczyk told ESPN at the time. “I’m definitely not done playing. I’ve seen zero regression. I think especially, I mean, you can turn on the last two games and please show me where I’ve regressed, so I have no plans of stopping.”

The 49ers have been working up tighter financial constraints this offseason, and it seemed more likely that he would be released after San Francisco signed tight end Luke Farrell to a three-year deal that could be worth as much as $20.3 million.
