In a new development from Los Angeles, Kylie Jenner finds herself at the center of legal controversy as a former housekeeper has taken action against her. The lawsuit, which was officially filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, accuses the reality TV star of allowing cruel and unusual treatment to occur within her employment environment.
On Wednesday, Juana Delgado Soto initiated this legal action not only against Kylie Jenner but also her corporate entity, Kylie Jenner Inc., as well as staff supervisor Itzel Sibrian, Tri Star Services, and La Maison Family Services. This lawsuit follows closely on the heels of a similar case brought by another member of Jenner’s cleaning staff just last week.
Soto claims she reached out to Jenner directly through a letter, detailing the abuse she endured from other staff members on Jenner’s payroll, highlighting the toxic work environment she faced.
The allegations within the lawsuit include racial discrimination, harassment, and failure to pay due wages. It points particularly to Sibrian, Soto’s direct supervisor, accusing her of ridiculing Soto’s English proficiency, allegedly mocking her by laughing, calling her “stupid,” and questioning her ability to speak English properly.
Further, the lawsuit outlines that in early June 2024, Sibrian purportedly retaliated against Soto for her previous complaints. This retaliation allegedly manifested as harsher treatment, a reduction in pay from $41.66 per hour to $35.00 per hour without justification, a change in her work schedule eliminating overtime, and the imposition of unreasonable workloads.
Jenner’s team said the beauty mogul had not yet seen the the court filing and declined to comment.
