A recent report sheds light on Kylie Jenner’s feelings regarding her boyfriend Timothee Chalamet’s reluctance to discuss their relationship in a Vogue interview.

During the interview, the 29-year-old Chalamet made it clear that he would not talk about his relationship with Jenner.

“And I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say,” Chalamet commented.

Despite their openness to public displays of affection, both Jenner and Chalamet typically keep details of their romance out of the public eye. Jenner herself avoided mentioning Chalamet in a 2024 British Vogue interview.

However, insiders have revealed to Radar that Jenner, 28, is feeling somewhat hurt by her boyfriend’s reluctance to speak about their relationship.

The Vogue interview has also illuminated another alleged issue in the relationship – insiders told Radar the reality star feels like she is has been putting more effort into the relationship than the actor has been. 

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Jenner and Chalamet for comment over the report but have not yet heard back.

Jenner believed they were ready to be more public with their romance and was upset to see her boyfriend ‘casually’ dismiss the topic, a friend of Jenner told the publication. 

‘Kylie was really upset by how casually Timothée dismissed the question. She honestly believed they were past the point of hiding things and that he’d want to celebrate their relationship, not act like it doesn’t exist,’ the friend said.

While she was ‘shocked and heartbroken’ over the comments, she is putting on a happy face with her social media followers. 

‘She’s raging, shocked and heartbroken at the same time, but, as usual, is trying to put a brave face on things by keeping posting “happy” social media snaps.’

Their wildly different schedules have not exactly helped matters either.

‘It’s really strained things,’ a source connected to the couple said of their complex schedules. ‘Kylie’s been the one reaching out, calling, visiting – but she’s beginning to feel like she’s putting in all the effort,’ they added. 

The apparent lopsidedness is now beginning to wear on Jenner.

‘She’s traveled everywhere to support Timothée, but he rarely returns the favor. It’s starting to really bother her,’ the source said.

However a film industry insider told Radar this is typically how Chalamet operates.

‘He’s never been the kind of person to make his relationships part of the spotlight,’ they said.

Jenner and Chalamet, who previously flaunted their relationship and packed on the PDA across the globe, have notably kept their romance much more under the radar in recent months, sparking fierce speculation that they may be headed for a split.

The actor only fueled the theories when he declined to speak about the makeup mogul during a recent sit-down with Vogue magazine.

During the accompanying interview the reporter noted that Chalamet ‘would not talk about his relationship with girlfriend Jenner’.

‘And I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say,’ he said.

Despite not wanting to talk about his romance, the interviewer added that the Dune star ‘didn’t mind at all acknowledging the new stage of his life that he is entering into’.

He pointed out that his sister just had a baby and his Dune co-star Zendaya recently got engaged to Tom Holland.

‘She’s traveled everywhere to support Timothée, but he rarely returns the favor. It’s starting to really bother her,’ a source told Radar

Chalamet also revealed that he wants to experience fatherhood, hinting: ‘That could be on the radar.’

He recalled an unnamed celebrity pal ‘bragging about not having kids and how much time it afforded them to do other stuff’ and thinking, ‘Holy s**t. Oh my God. Bleak.’

‘He knows some people can’t have children or are never in a position to. But he does believe procreation is the reason we’re here,’ the reporter added.

Jenner also similarly refused to discuss her romance with Chalamet in a 2024 interview with British Vogue: ‘Privacy is so important to me in life,’ she said. 

Last year, Chalamet and Jenner – who shares two children with ex Travis Scott – were hot and heavy.

They were attending Hollywood award shows together and sitting courtside at the New York Knicks, and even had romantic rendezvous in the south of France.

But in recent months, the couple has sparked breakup rumors after going weeks without being seen together.

Chalamet spent most of the summer living in Hungary while filming the third installment of the science-fiction franchise Dune.

Meanwhile, Jenner stayed home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her two children: Stormi Webster, seven, and Aire Webster, three.

The pair first connected back in January 2023 when they were both invited to attend a Jean Paul Gaultier show in Paris.

They confirmed their relationship in September of that year with a steamy make out at a Beyoncé concert in Los Angeles.

In August it was reported that the actor spoiled the mogul with meaningful gestures while they were forced to spend her birthday apart.

‘Timothée went out of his way to make her feel special on her birthday,’ a source told Us Weekly.

‘He sent gifts, they had a FaceTime call and he coordinated meaningful gestures with Kylie’s friends that made her feel very special.’

Multiple sources told the Daily Mail last month that the relationship was close to collapse, however, as their opposing views on marriage and settling down allegedly drove a wedge between them.

Around that time, Chalamet and Jenner were seen together for the first time since August.

Photographers caught the pair smiling as they headed into a party in New York City in matching black outfits.

Days later, they turned heads when they attended a Yankees game together – but the appearance sparked a debate amongst fans.

Some were quick to point out afterwards that while the makeup mogul has been a constant fixture at his events over the years – from cheering on his favorite teams to accompanying him to the Golden Globes and Oscars – Chalamet has never been seen attending hers.

Despite dating for more than two and a half years, he has never appeared on her family’s reality show, The Kardashians, joined her as a plus-one at the Met Gala or even publicly wished her a happy birthday.

That perceived one-sidedness had social media buzzing and relationship experts said it’s a dynamic worth paying attention to.

‘Relationships get ugly when one party loves you more, wants more than the other,’ trauma counselor Audrey Hope warned.

‘The fact that Kylie Jenner is at all Timothée’s events and he does not reciprocate in the same way is a big deal. It shows that something is afoot in paradise.’
